Sotov was founded in 1980 with the aim to promote the export activity of a group of Italian forgeing shops, providing final Customers with a complete range of products as open-die forgings, rolled rings and closed die forgings.
In more than 30 years of activity, Sotov has well developed its skills delivering top quality products which can grant very strict proprieties and very high performance levels.
Sotov is operating in various fields such as :

• Oil & Gas (flanges, valve components, end-fittings, mooring components)
• Naval (engine components : propeller shafts, intermediate shafts, couplings, servomotor shafts etc.)
• Energy (Main shafts for wind mills, turbine shafts)
• Industry (presses, traverses, columns, heavy industry machinery parts)

Selling worldwide its finished or semi-finished products.

A 360° service to Clients

Sotov manage the specific needs of each Client in order to provide a tailor-made solution, minimizing complications and costs to the Customer, while always granting excellent quality and reliability on time schedule.

In order to provide a complete service to our Clients, Sotov takes care of all the relevant steps, from the initial enquiry to the delivery of the goods: Analysis of the technical drawings provided by the Customers in order to determine the appropriate forging process and the weight/dimensions of each piece. Selection of the most suitable forging mill for each piece, taking into account technical capability, certifications, pricing, timing and negotiation of all the key elements.
Preparation of a production schedule with all the different necessary steps required (forging, heat treatments, machining, testing) and confirmation to the Client monitoring the delivery schedules. For special projects with peculiar requirements, Sotov takes care of the correct issues of the necessary production documentation (Inspection test Plan and Manufacturing Process Specification). Shipping of the goods, control and dispatch of the certificates.
